Petplan offer a wide range of pet insurance products and are one of the few providers to insure other animals other than cats and dogs, their policies include cats, dogs, rabbits, horses and exotic animals. Three different levels of cover are offered for their cat and dog policies – value, budget and super.

The ‘Value’ policies are designed to cover only veterinary bills, limited complementary treatment bills (and third party liability on dog policies) with a 12 month cover period per condition. 'Budget' policies offer higher vet cover with an annual limit rather than per condition limit, providing lifelong cover against chronic illnesses, plus kennelling/cattery expenses, costs of retrieving lost or stolen pets, emergency repatriation and quarantine expenses. ‘Super’ policies provide all previous features and also include holiday cancellations and compensation for loss/theft or death of pet.
