Animal Rehoming - Getting Started
All animals deserve a second chance of a happy home, a warm bed, enough food and exercise from responsible owners who will cherish them for the rest of their lives. If you are able to offer a secure loving environment with a lifetime commitment you will be richly rewarded. To help you make a choice we have provided breed descriptions and animal advice guides located in animal information.
To establish the suitability of potential homes the RSPCA as well as number of animal shelters and rescue centres have a policy of operating a home visiting procedure. If you decide on a private home visit yourself or allow access to your home we ask that both parties involved take basic precautionary measures and never go alone. Please use common sense. If you feel uncomfortable then do not proceed. Owners are in no way obligated to give up their animal to anyone they deem unsuitable and are advised to assess each enquiry carefully.
